Full-stack PHP Developer
We are looking to hire an experienced PHP Developer to join our dynamic team. As a lead Developer, you will be responsible for creating a top-level coding-base using Laravel framework best practices. Job Responsibilities: - Design and integration of user-facing elements - Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules - Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality - Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle - Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary - Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges - Integrate data storage solutions (databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.) Technical skills: - Solid knowledge of software engineering principles (OOP, Design Patterns, Agile best practice and so on); - Extensive work experience with the following: PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Lumen, CakePHP or Zend; - Good knowledge of the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP); - Familiarity with databases and data modeling/design techniques; data interface protocols; database software installation; database tuning; - Basic knowledge of system administration and software/hardware configuration; - Ability to troubleshoot pre/post production implementations; security, load balancing and performance. Nice to have: - Familiarity with Agile development and tools (such as Jira); - Experience working with version control systems (Git or SVN); - Front end technologies: JavaScript, React/Angular, HTML/CSS; - Ability to work with an international team of professionals. What you'll do: - Developing web applications by involving in the complete development of new products and solutions; - Innovate and implement new ideas without disrupting product delivery; - Working together in improving workflow and coding standards. - Proven software development experience in PHP or web server exploits and their solutions and a basic understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, etc. - Understanding of MVC design patterns; Working knowledge of relational databases, version control tools as well as developing web services - Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes - Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Subversion - Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, AWS, Firebase, etc) - Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new ideas - Capable of working independently without close supervision Required to communicate effectively through verbal and written forms - Job requires 24-hour basis software support when deemed by Systems Development Manager; May require the occasional travel to different company sites to perform training - Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information - Responsible for occasionally leading projects with users and scheduling contract programmers
